I signed up there to get the free $10 promo that was offered. I did everything necessary to verify my account. Then several days later they sent me the email to claim my $10. When I went in to claim it, I got an error, when I tried again I was informed that the code number they gave me to claim my money was already used. I emailed them and was informed the $10 was supposedly in my account right now, but when I went in I still showed a 0 balance. I emailed them again and got no response. So I tried again today! Today the emailed me back finally informing me that I had the $10 in my account until this morning when I used it to make a purchase. HOw could I have made a purchase when I had a $0 balance? I sent them a not to nice email back and sure enough they haven't responded to this one again. You know, I got a strange letter from ecount by snail mail today. This is what it says: "Due to overwhelming response to ecount.com's Sign Up offer, we previously mailed you an invalid Verification Code. Please accept our sincere apologies for this inconvenience. This letter will correctly verify your billing address. Once you verify your billing address, we will increase the dollar amount privileges on your ecount and email you a $10 Sign Up Bonus (first-time billing address verifications only)." Now I don't know why I have a strange feeling about this letter. I didn't verify my address again because I don't know if they're let me keep the signup bonus that I got the first time I verified my address. If it was invalid, how did it verify my address? I suggest you contact the merchant that ecount claims you spent your $10 at and have them email you that you never made that purchase, then forward that email to ecount. bulbul [This message has been edited by bulbul (edited 04-26-2000).] |

It's really strange. My husband and I both signed up for this, and we did not receive our confirmation letters in the mail. I e-mailed them and they said they would mail out another confirmation. So far, nothing. I also show zero balance in the accounts too.
