I used my WC# for their credit card screen b/c I am always afraid of getting charged for a $0 balance. I received a cancellation notice - I responded that why was my card being authorized for a $0 balance? I received a snippy reply that their "system" is set up to only accept valid CC's, my orders cancelled, and there will be no charge. Ughh! Party poopers. |

gotmilk, Just curious, did you also use your web certificate number in place of a credit card number? I always use a valid credit card. So what if they authorize your credit card for 0? By the way, I place two orders with iparty, using coupon codes CP03 and CP04. I've received confirmation of the orders, but haven't received anything about them being shipped yet. I would assume that since they've confirmed the orders at this point, that they are not going to cancel them. |

I called them to see if I could do a different # since I used my WC the first time, but they said no - order was canceled. Geez! Oh well, wasn't much, so no biggie I guess. But still, wish they would've let me fix the problem - I thought you only needed to enter a # due to order process, not because they try to authorize your card - and they do for more than a 0 charge, otherwise my WC would've worked.

Ditto - used cc, received confirmations, no prob. BUT just got emails from iparty telling me that *all items* that I ordered are out of stock. They did apologize and say that shipment could be expected within 2-3 weeks...but now I'm wondering if this could be the prelude to/excuse for order cencellation?? We shall see... Anyone else receive this 'out of stock' email? |

In response to BHunter, yes I got the same email you did in respons to one of my two orders. Now I will wait and see if I get the same response for my second order I placed with the other coupon code. ang379, maybe when they are authorizing your credit card, they are doing a "minimum authorization" like they do at the gas pump. You know, they authorize your card for $1, then you pump, and then they charge for how much you actually used. Still, I can see your concern that they would be authorizing your credit card for ANY amount if you had a 0 balance. Does seem a bit fishy, doesn't it? |

Yeah, I guess jsalba said their $1 auth drops off after a while. I tried to ask them if I could give them another CC# and they just flat out said no, your order's canceled. When I tried to order again, it said I had already used the coupons. When I ordered the first time, I had no idea they would authorize the card, so I thought my WC# was okay to use, even though it had a zero balance. At the gas pump they auth a $1 because they know you're going to run up a bill, there was no total due, so I had no idea my WC wouldn't work. Party poopers! |

I agree. They ARE party poopers if they won't even let you use the coupon again. As far as I am concerned, you never used the coupon since the order was cancelled.

Bumping this up to let you all know that I got the first one of my iparty orders yesterday via UPS. This was the first order I had placed using one of the $5 coupon codes. I had received an email on this order saying the items were backordered and I could expect shipment in 2 to 3 weeks. And one week later, here is the order, fully filled. I assume I will get the second order (from the second coupon code) within a day or two since I placed both orders on the same night.
