okay get this, theatheletesfoot.com DOES NOT do exchanges... is that not odd? they have no backordering system on their computers... so when my adidas sandles came and they were too big i naturally figured i could ship them back and exchange them cuz NOTHING in the info they sent me said otherwise...(no land based store near me) so when i e-mail CS just to let them know what i'm doing they say i can't and i'm like well i already sent the stuff back! so basically CS is gonna ignore my letter that i enclosed in my return saying that i just wanted a different size and end up refunding my credit card, then CS sez if i want i can then reorder... seems like a hassle to me and i don't know if i'm gonna bother..... bethie |

These guys suck!!!!! I ordered $25 worth of socks. Signed up and used the now defunct code. After I placed the order, my total was $29. I called and asked what was up. They told me the code was no longer valid and that using it caused the sign up code to be invalid. I told them to cancel my order. Next day I get an e-mail saying "You shipment is on the way". I call up and complain that I cancelled my order. There response was tough. We sent it, so you are going to pay for it (they charged my Credit Card). I said "Send a call tag and pick it up". They said that I would have to take it to the post office and pay for return shipping. I am so ****ed. I am going to dispute the charge on my credit card as fraud. Any other suggestions? |

Refuse the package!!!!!! If you refuse the package, UPS or US Postal will be forced to send it back to the companywith no charge to you, and then they have record that you chose not to accept the package. Then you call your CC and tell them "Hey, UPS/USPS has record that I refused/didn't sign for it and they have record that Athlete's Foot got it back, so therefore they charged me for something I didn't receive." If UPS leaves it without signature, it's UPS policy that they will come and pick up the package if you choose to refuse it and were not given the option. If USPS delivers it, just bring it unopened to the post office and have them do a "return to sender". I have done this numerous times. I usually leave a big sign on my door with giant letters and bright colors so that UPS or USPS sees it and knows to not leave the package. Works *every* time. Call UPS if you have any questions. Sometimes they will let you refuse a package over the phone before it is even delivered. |

So glad I didn't do this deal, but I'm also bummed for you guys that I didn't save the transcript of the conversation I had with their online sales rep. I specifically asked him if they took exchanges or refunds at the store (like if my shoes didn't fit) and he said a definate YES!) Sorry, the email got erased all!

at the real store you can do all the returns and exchanges you want, just not at the on-line store which i think is REALLY lame with all the popularity of e-commerce... i mean my sandles were such a deal less than $10 shipped and everything when those adidas sandles in the store go for atleast $25.99 BUT due to the inconvience of having to ship them back, wait for my CC to be credited back , and then reordering, that's just too much of a hassle.... |

I will never do business with this company because of the games they play. I had to refuse shipment so they wouldn't bill me $3.95 for a pair of socks that didn't even cost that. Conveniently, the rest of my order- a dozen golf balls were out of stock on that day, which was the largest part of the order.( this meant I lost the majority of my coupon) I used a coupon which I guess they really don't like to honor.

parker, i agree this is a stinky deal now... just close the thread... deal wouldn't be so stinky if they could actually reship stuff if a size is incorrect or something, i am just amazed at how dumb the athelete's foot is, i mean, come on! e-commerce is the thing now and they need to get with the program and update their system to handle exchanges, etc.... |
