I placed an order the other day with My Family.com. Yesterday they sent me an e-mail saying my order had shipped and they gave me the tracking number. So, like I usually do, I punched in the tracking number at UPS and it came back invalid. I contacted MyFamily.com for the correct number and they said they couldn't get it, would have to wait for their supplier to look into it and then they would know if it was invalid. And this is going to take 5 days. All the while I know I have been charged based upon incorrect shipping information. Legally they can't do that. They must provide me with correct/valid proof of shipment before they can charge me. All their idiot customer service people do is apologize and then say I obviously don't understand. I don't think they understand the legally they MUST provide me with the information in order to charge my card. But instead I have to wait 5 days for the morons to figure out what they are doing. My recommendation: these people are clueless as to how shipping and customer service work. Stay far, far away from them.

headdihall - This error may lie with UPS. I've had a few numbers that come back as invalid when I first enter them & have come to find out that the problem usually is that UPS hasn't had the time to get the number in their system or they haven't picked it up from the warehouse yet. You might want to double check the number after a few hours to see if it's in the system. ![]() HTH! ------------------ [Only registered and activated users can see links. Unfortunately I have checked with UPS several times over the past 2 days! Everytime the number comes up invalid and MyFamily.com says they can't do anything about it and I have to wait 5 days for the supplier to find out. In reality, if you have the ship from and ship to information you can solve it extremely easily by calling UPS but MyFamily refused to do it and I can't get the information.

I agree.. sometimes the tracking number doesn't show up for a day or so for some reason.. I've had this happen to me. Also, please try to remember that it really isn't the fault of the Customer Service Rep.. they are only able to tell you what is on their computer. I'm sure they aren't sitting back laughing over your bad experience. Who would want to come into work and listen to unhappy people for 8 hours? I'm sure they would rather everyone be happy and treat them nicely. Also, you catch more bees with honey remember! Good luck w/ your order. ------------------ email: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] subj line: Deal of Day |

All I know is that I did customer service for several years for a large company doing much the same thing that this company does and had I ever provided a customer with false information and/or told them they would have to wait 5 days I can guarantee I would have been reprimanded for not providing my customers with the correct information. IMHO, if they find an error they should do their best to resolve the situation and not put the customer off.

This is the same Idiotic Company that charge full price on my order even when I placed a $10 coupon last Dec.. I called CS AND emailed them to cancel the order. They said it would take 7-10 days to carryout the request cuz they have to contact their shipper or warehouse.... 3 DAYS LATER THEY SHIPPED MY ITEMS OUT AND CHARGED THE FULL PRICE...WHAT A BUNCH OF MORONS! Apparently their were many many customers with the same problem....this company stinks! oooh yea...that felt goooood..... |
