It says clearly on the site you can cancel any order that hasn't been shipped. So having ordered a toy for my DS that was back ordered and they said more than likely would not ship before Christmas, I decided to cancel it and use the $10 GC I had used on that order along with one of the $10 off $25 coupons to order my son a Christmas Furby which they assured me was in stock. Well when I canceled the order my GC just disappeared instead of being credited back to my account. I spent several hours trying to get through on the phone or email to get help. When they finally responded it resulted in giving me two $10 GCs. However when I tried to place my order, I found out that since they were both promotional Gc's I could not combine them with the coupons. So I still couldn't order the big gift I wanted for the DS for Christmas. THey told me they are sorry but that's the way the code works when they issue it and there is nothing they can do about it. I say this is an unfair practice. If the first code I had was a regular GC then they should have replaced it with one as well so I should have been able to place the order and use the coupon like i had planned!

There telling you BS, if i was you go talk to the manager of CS and tell them that you had a GC and was useing with there coupon. They must give you another GC or credit your account so you can use both. I know at amazon.com you can 1-2-3 or more GC together.
An it sound to me that you are talking to CS rep thats just trying to save the Company money. (like its coming out of there pockets)
I preorder a Dvd at Cdnow and they didn't order as many as they should have and ran
out, so they canceled my order and gave me $3. credit. So called them and said i preorder this useing there $10. coupon + 40% off and they better do alot better then $3. so after complaining to them they cerdit my account with $20. and it wasn't a coupon but credit on my next order. Any ways to make a long story short, it happen agian with another DvD i preorder. But this time when i asked them to credit my account i was told that they can't do but they can send me a coupon. Hmmm, two weeks earlier they could so i played dumb and asked a few "Q's" and the story from the CS rep was they just don't credit accountw with money but well send out coupons. He was a liar and was just trying to save the company money.
So if i was you and want to get your GC back to use with the coupon call CS ask agian or just go talk to the manager. You should get it back!

Well that was their idea of an apology. Giving me two $10 GC's. However that still doesn't fix what I wanted it for! Since I can't use them with the coupons. However I just won a furby on ebay and am waiting to hear back from the seller and I got it for less than Amazons price anyway!!!!

Just to update this, they finally fixed my problem, it took a week or so but it did finally happen! Of course they didn't tell me, I had to log into my account and find out for myself! However this time for my inconvenience they were nice to enough to let me combine all GC's and they shipped it immediately!

Geee Ver,
Your story sounds remarkable similar to mine.
I cancelled my order, and my GC disappeared. I immediately emailed them. After several days, they finally emailed back to say that in the "spirit of the holidays", they would issue another one.
Spirit of the holidays????? That was MY GC!!! I couldn't believe what I was reading! Who do they think they are anyway?
I think they better change their set-up just a bit.
