tracfone, grrrrr

Last year i purchased a bunch of 10 minute and 120 minute cards from amazon using their special deal code, $50 off. great deal for these cards to use the phone. I have had no problem until yesterday. all of a sudden the cards are no longer any good!!! I call the tracfone people and they no longer accept the 10 or 120 minute cards and there is nothing they can do. I just sent a nasty letter off to them because i was never told they were no longer going to be accepted and now i am stuck with 170 minutes that i can't use and i have to buy a new card today if i want to keep my phone activated.

this really s*cks if you ask me, i am on their email list for special offers and reminders they could have easily sent out an email letting people know they were discontinuing these cards.

Oh boy, would that make me mad!!!!! Did they tell you why they were no longer accepting them? Just curious.

It is a pain, I know. I have a trac-fone and liked to put on a cheap 10 minute card. I never bought in advance, so I am glad about that.

My cousin has a trac fone as well, and she stocked up on some 10 minute cards, and when she learned theywere not good any longer, she was ticked, big time. Customer Service on the phone was worthless (and rude), but she wrote to the company, telling them of what she was out, and how she was considering no longer using trac-fone, and they sent her replacement cards......cannot remember the exact amount, but I know she received more than she lost.

So, maybe the company will do the same for you. I hope they do, that is a LOT to be out.
