Help with the feedback thread

Now that the trader feedback thread has nearly 200 posts and something like 15 pages, it's difficult to search on there to see if a member is on the list. Any suggestions?

You could try clicking on "Power Search" (under the Quick Search box) and then do a search by member. It will tell you all the recent threads they have posted in.

But that only tells me if the person has posted feedback, not if someone else has posted feedback about that person.

Instead of searching by user, try going to the Power Search & doing the following:

- In the Search by Keyword, put the user name that you want to know about.
- In the Search Forums, scroll down to "Stuff for Sale or Trade"

Then hit the "Perform Search" button.


That should help you find any feedback on a certain person.

I tried that and it only shows whether a person is in the thread as a poster or as text ... meaning that person's userid came up in the feedback thread. I still have to search through all 200 posts on 15+ pages to see if it was that person posting or being posted about and whether it's good or bad.

I agree that a forum within a forum is the only way to make this more easily scanned for good or bad trader feedback. I also tried all the suggestions here and couldn't really get to the exact information that theloo was looking for. You still have to scan through all the pages to find the searched words or user names that you are looking for within that thread.
The only drawback I see to having a seperate forum like this though is, members making derogatory posts in response to the negative feedback they received. That could cause some problems but other than that, I can't think of any other way to make it easier to find the information on a certain trader.
If Mayor wants to do it, I volunteer to clean up the old thread and get a new forum started.
