Pics in Posts??

How do you put a picture (not an attachment, I figured that one out finally..lol) in a post? Thanks.

Jeff...unless I missed something (which I probably did) both the threads you posted refer to posting avatars. That's not a problem. I'm talking about pictures within the body of the post..like the one you have. Thanks, and if I'm not snapping to something, please feel free to get irritated..lol.

Jilly...a few DOD Members PM'd me to tell me how to do this after this was posted. The easiest way to describe it is just basically to right click on the picture you want, click "copy" then open up the "reply" box, put your cursor in the box, and click "paste." I guess it's just a basic copy and paste. No big deal. Of course that never occurred to me..lol.

For text/image in your signature: Go to Profile (upper part of this page where the gray tabs say: profile, register, and calendar) Click on PROFILE. A page comes up where you'll see gray tabs - click on EDIT PROFILE. Scroll down where it says SIGNATURE. Type your text\image url. (http)

Before the http:/ type [ img]
After the .gif or .jpg type [ /img]

WITHOUT the SPACES.

Scroll to SUBMIT MODIFICATIONS.

This area can be edited as often as you want.

If you need me to host an image I can do that. I host lots of images for members, because frequently just putting in an image off the internet (for too many reasons to write about here) will have the image show up as a white box with a red x. You'll see the image because it's on your computer, however it won't show for the rest of the world. That's it!

Toby Lee...thanks. I tried the method described to me before and it didn't work ...Sorry Jilly! I will try this new one (if I can remember all those steps..lol)
