NOT GETTING REPLY TO POST EMAILS ANYMORE!!!

I don't know if it's aol or something i haven't done right...i haven't messed with any of my preferences here at dod so i don't know but today i stopped getting those "you have a reply" emails....how do i get them back, i'm forgetful so that's how i keep track!! thanks so much!!!

Are you asking about receiving "notifications" when someone replies to your posts? If so, you click the box below your original post before you submit it.

If this isn't what you were asking, sorry.. lemme know.

I'm so fed up. I am getting email notifications as of Sunday at the WRONG email address from DOD. It's a valid email addy I use but it's never ever been listed at DOD Profile, edit options. I have written Mayor 3 times, Jeff, and tech support. I am going crazy, because I don't want email coming to the secondary account unless it's for certain things.

I never messed w/my settings either. I get email notifications like most of us do and get dozens and dozens a day. It should be coming to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and it's coming to another email addy at qwest that I use only for certain things. I am fed up. No one wants to address this.

I got email from Jeff that's it's being worked on. Two days later I get email from Mayor saying it's the first he heard of it.

I posted a help thing in Ask the Mods... Jeff moved it to the Mods Forum. I have written PM's email and I am getting major pistoff.

Loved the southern stuff.! Thanks steph. Sorry for the rant. How this stuff happens at DOD is beyond me. Geez, they never HAD that email addy for me. Somehow this is freaking me out.

In addition I want to switch my email addy to tlspiegel.com and I can't do that until this sh*t is squared away to my satisfaction. I may stop posting.

toby, i'm not sure what's going on, but my guess would be if it's coming to an addy that DOD has never had it's an internal problem with qwest not DOD...when i was having the opposite problem (lol) it turned out to be aol screwing up (wow are ya surprised lol) not DOD....although if you've already looked into and found it's not qwest but dod then everything i just said is redundant LOL!! i just thought since they were being sent to an address that DOD never had, qwest may just be "overflowing" them into your other email addy with them.....hope it works out, and don't you dare stop posting, you read that southerners email, you know what'll happen ROFL

Can't be a qwest.net problem... mainly because I'm still getting mail at tlspiegel anytime someone (for ex., you) sends me email. I am so pisst because no one is addressing the problem at DOD and is basically ignoring all my requests to look into it. I really need this fixed. No one seems to care. Oh well. There wouldn't be an overload. Mail that comes to a specific name only comes to that addy. You know. ****. Yup... **** **** ****.

I moved your thread to the Mod forum for Mayors attention.

I tried to see what was happening with the e-mail.

I can't do anything more then that. I have answered all of your e-mails to the best of my ability. The problem now lies in the hands of you and Mayor. The two of you will have to figure it out.. I can't do anything more.

Again, I'm sorry I didn't help you as quickly as you wanted and that I wasn't able to fix the problem.

Jeff, I sent you email. I'm not peeved at you. Just am wondering why this simple thing can't be adjusted. I love you! It seems simple enough the way I explained it to fix the problem. I'm not mad at anyone. Just want it fixed NOW! lol

I just checked your user settings and the email you have listed is [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now].. This is the only email address you should be receiving emails to from the DoD forums unless you have had it set to something else before. If you are still getting emails to the other address where as it should be going to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now], it's not on our end.

Food for thought. If tlspiegel is an email "alias" from your ISP that points to the other address, it is possible that you are receiving them as simple bounces from one address to the other. However if tlspiegel is a full POP3 account, you should not. At this moment I'm leaning twards the first being the explination. What you can do is have a couple of other people email [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] to see where it ends up..
