I am new at this so bare w/ me please I thought I put a post in asking a question but havn't seen it up so I am going to try this again
I put a post up yesterday and I came on a while ago to see if there were any responses to the post...At the bottom of the post there was something typed that said
Just edited to remove the affiliate mix. What does that mean?

Hi Mickey,

I'm probably the one that edited your post. It was to remove an affiliate link - which means that there was a code at the end of the URL you posted which paid a different company every time someone clicked on the link. The only affiliate links which are allowed in the general forums are for Deal of Day.

Most affiliate links are found in newsletters & on other websites, and are a form of advertising. The links are generally recognizable by a series of numbers & letters on the end and you'll find that if you remove the ending you will still wind up at the same page (another giveaway - many of these links will have /ref=xx.xxx at the end of the link).

Don't worry if the link was edited - we do check them to make sure that the freebie will still be available without the affiliate.
