Clearly this post was done for humorous affect. A little levity now and then can't hurt. However, a couple members are teetering on breaking terms of service, so we will be watching them in future posts. In the meantime, I recommend taking a light-hearted approach to people who just want to be silly.

Hi there. I'm the one who answered a couple of your recent e-mails with questions.. remember me?

Anyhow, I just wanted to let you know that we aren't on here all the time and it's virtually impossible for us to check every single post and reply made.. the time to do it just doesn't exist.

We are pretty good about checking a large amount of posts.. but occasionally miss some.

What we do ask/offer is for our members to e-mail us with problems encountered on the boards.. that way.. we are sure to know something was missed by us and needs attention.

Every moderator either lists their e-mail address in their signature or if you click on our names on the upper left corner area of the bulletin board forum we are assigned, it will allow you to e-mail us.

I am sorry but I had to say this - I do not agree with you. I agree that we can take light of some issues which are meant to be silly but not topics which are so offensive. Maybe some people find them light hearted but some may find them offensive. Why should topics like this be allowed? Are you just ignoring the feelings of others who get hurt by certain posts?

Lately, there has been a splurge of controversial topics on the board and they are not being closed. Haven't they crossed the limits of the terms of DOD? Why are you being so lenient?

I LOVE to be silly and joke around, I make a living as a Party Consultant and I have a great sense of humor. The mail order bride post was NOT APPROPRIATE HUMOR, it is offensive to post such an item on this kind of a publicly viewed board. If he wants to make "JOKES" like that he should do it is an ADULT FORUM or with people he knows. I think YOUR RESPONSE is a WEAK EXCUSE!!!!!!!!

Personally, I thought the post was hysterical... not necessarily the mail order bride references.. as I don't condone women, men, dogs, cats, children, or anyone/anything to be treated as a commodity.

What I thought was hysterical was his/her writing style and the funny terms (s)he used.

So.. while I found the post humorous.. I can still understand the frustration when it related to the sale of women.. which I don't think is actually what was meant.. it was just the "eye catcher" or something like that.

BTW Jennifer.. checked out your site last night at work.. very cool stuff.. I'm planning on buying some stuff here very shortly.. liked the 50 percent off stuff especially. I had about $60.00 worth of stuff in my shopping cart last night and then got busy and had to close out my internet connection.. but I'll get back in there.

Jeff....You found the words that I couldn't!!! My thoughts on that post exactly!! I also thought it was very funny and just meant to be an "eye catcher". What a great sense of humor (s)he has. They must be "the life of the party"!!
