questions on posting freebies

ok so im new and have used other forum boards to post me freebies finds but in the past it caused problems. im not super knowledgeable about technical term but i wanted to ask if posting certain type of links to freebies are against the rules. like a pdf file, etc. or what if i find a cool freebie on another freebie sight...how would i post it? i have alot of free time and spend alot of time on the internet search for coupons free stuff etc so (not to sound egocentric) i think i have alot to offer to the right forum. i want clarification on this before i post because i want not to break rules. thank!

All freebies should be posted under the general freebie forum (Found a Freebie!) unless it pertains more to one of the freebie sub-forums (religious, baby, pet, business, magazines, etc). Here at DOD, it is against the rules to post a link to a competitor's website (another freebie forum such as ours, for example). Rather, you would want to post a direct link to the url of the freebie. Only family-friendly freebies are allowed, as well, so there should be no references to smoking, drinking, drugs or other "adult" activities. I hope that helps & welcome to DOD!
