Avatars - can someone help please?

Hi there mods --

I've been trying since 5/23 to upload an avatar. But all I get is a message that says "Unable to save image." I know I've posted about this a couple times before, but I still haven't been able to get an answer. Unfortunately the "Contact Us" link goes nowhere--it's apparently a broken link. Otherwise I would have gone that route to contact a maintainer directly.

So, can someone help me out with my avatar please? Thank you so much!

Ellie, I've sent a PM to the person who does tech support regarding this issue. I also cannot upload a new avatar. I haven't heard back from him yet.

Hmm - I currently have a custom avatar, but when I tried to upload a new one, it didn't work for me either...I think I seem to remember having the same problem uploading a personal pic to my CP...maybe the problems are related?

I'm going to PM DW again. In addition, I can't add an attachment image to any posts. Will let you know when he replies.

That's too bad. I suppose it's a good thing that there's nothing seriously wrong with the site, though, or we'd really be screwed waiting six weeks for a reply.

Update: Even though I resigned being a moderator, I figured it would be nice to let you know I did hear from Scott.

He said the problem was fixed. I thanked him and proceeded to try and upload a new avatar keeping in mind all the parameters on size, etc. I was unable to upload and got the same message twice.

So, I pm'd him back to let him know I was still unable to upload an avatar. I see in the Testing Forum he tested uploading an image and that was successful, producing a thumbnail that could be clicked on for a larger image. I wish I had more information. Thanks!
