The question from a new user

Hello everybody! I am new to the site forums.dealofday.com
Could anyone, please, advise if there is a lot of
spam and unscrupulous advertising. Can I trust
all this information, which is present at this forum?
Sorry for stupid questions, I just really want know which
information I should trust or even pay attention.

most things I have sent for in the religious freebie forum has come.
Actually most things in all the freebie forums has come, if any spam does show up in the boards, the mods are usually pretty quick to get it off here.
You can usually tell its spam when its the same products showing up again and again used to try and scam you into signing up for referrals.
I trust the information here.
Your questions are not stupid, you just wanna make sure in a safe place.
I am sure others have more helpful information to share too.

Ditto everything Pearlie said! You can usually tell right away which sites are spam freebies, as we call them. There will be a lot of fine print on the page & require you to complete offers in order to get the freebie. We try and get rid of those posts as quickly as we can. Otherwise, I have had a great experience with freebies. Most usually come and I get very little junk mail because of them. At times, you will find that sites giving away freebies will require you to join their mailing list in order to receive the freebie, so you may want to create a new email address just for freebies, so that the mailing lists (which you can unsubscribe from) don't junk up your regular inbox. Well we spend hours on the site, literally, to remove and prevent the posting of scam offers, erroneous or misleading information and etc. I have been here for 7 years and have worked hard to build this site to the point where it is reliable, enjoyable, and has reputable information.

The one major piece of advice that I can give you, which I share with all newbies, is that if you are going to sign up for free samples and stuff, then get yourself a free junk email address from somewhere like hotmail, yahoo, or gmail and use that when signing up. We cannot control other companies and what they might do and there are always those out there who will flood your email with newsletters, additional offers to try to get you to buy stuff and etc.

If you have it all sent to one main email address you will quickly find yourself flooded and it will be a pain to try to sort through and find the legitimate emails among all the garbage.


However, like I said, we work hard to keep this site reputable and reliable. If we catch any type of spam offer or a scam we remove those posts immediately and take actions to ensure that they cannot be reposted. If I, or one of my mods is not on to take care of it, other members will usually post a warning to let you know not to waste your time.

What Verwon said is absolutely true. This is a family friendly site (which I love). And it is safe. I visit; but I’m not a member to another freebie site. It is chaotic there! 80% of the post are not freebies and most are Spam and/or spywear. Here there is stability and separate forums for whatever your post may be. Thanks to the MODS it always stays that way, SAFE!
