banner ads block dropdowns

Sometimes, near the top of the forum page just under the band that says "User CP," "FAQ," etc., there's a large banner ad instead of the usual smaller Google ads. Today, I was trying to use "Search" when a banner ad was there, and the dropdown opened behind the ad! (Same thing happened for "Quick Links," which is the only other dropdown up there.) I was able to open "Search" by right-clicking on it and then choosing "Open in New Window"--and I suppose I could've simply clicked around to another forum page till I found the Google ads, which don't interfere... --but I wonder if there's anything that can be done about it. Obviously, it's not a big deal because there's a way around it, but there also might be a quick fix, so just thought I'd ask. Thanks!

I have had the same thing happen, the only work around I found was to right click and then select open in a new window. That should help until admin can fix it.
