Editing posts

I remember when posts used to be edited by the moderators when they contained personal attacks or improper content. Do mods not do this anymore? I haven't seen it in quite some time.

Is there a particular thread you are refering to that we should look at?

I've edited a few pages, but mainly on for sale or trade. I remove the referral links and put correct links.

Well, it seems that the controversial forum, Religion and Politics, is where this most likely would happen (and does). I was just wondering why there doesn't seem to be editing or deleting going on like there used to be when I first came here.

I'm not talking about using it excessively, just when someone is not being nice, and attacking a person or a group of persons. You know?

Oh yah I know what you mean. I try to stay clear of that forum. I'll make sure that the moderator of that forum sees this thread!

Pip, there's only ONE mod for that forum & that's Taxman. So, if you see a problem in R&P, you'll need to bring it up with him.

Well, that's why I posted this in Ask the Moderator forum, since I don't mean it JUST for that forum, but the site in general. It could apply in any forum, it's just that one that comes to mind first. I would imagine any moderator would have a look at the "Ask the Moderator" forum, wouldn't they?
