Help Please?

Being that I'm able to help others here managing images and stuff, I would appreciate a little help for me.

Ever since the new version of DOD came out I can't add an attachment. Let's say, for ex., I know what kinds of files can be attached and I follow all the directions. Seems simple enough. But when I click on the last step (All Done) the post doesn't click through. There is no evidence of my post.

I have tried using different browsers, different images from my picture files on my computer and the post gets lost in transit.

I tried it again. Nothing. What happens I browse for the picture, and click on Attach This File. I see the name of the file that is going to be attached. Then I click All Done. Then the post goes into cyberspace and it's like I did nothing.

Woooaaahhh... it worked! Now why did it work that time and not any other? Trying again to do it.

Didn't work that time. So there seems to be something either on my end, or DOD's side that is preventing a picture from being attached. I am following the exact same steps each time.

Hmm... were you trying the exact same picture each time?

Hi Kat, no it's been a random thing. I can't seem to figure out why the post will not attach the image most of the time, and post an image (anything) other times.

I noticed when I tried to attach files that are rather large, they go into space, like nothing happens.

When I sized them down, then they went through just fine. Not sure if that was your problem, but worth a thought.

Well, if you go to my website (and look at the bottom of any page) you'll see a colored arrow. That arrow is mighty small. I have tried to attach that and it disappeared again. It's really odd isn't it?

Doesn't work with even a small image. I tried to attach this... and it wouldn't attach. I am posting it in this post as a hosted image. One should be able to browse through their harddrive for an image (nothing should have to be hosted) and attach it as the manage attachments window states.

Here is a small image and it will NOT attach. However it is hosted and will work.

Shainie you didn't quote my entire posting. I did NOT attach that, it is a hosted image from my site. If you right click on it the properties are from [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]

That is NOT the same as posting an attachment. Posting an image is done directly in this window you are typing in by putting [img ]and the url and then [ /img] around the back. Trust me, this is not the same as managing an attachment.

If you right click on Kat's image it is an attachment

I inserted spaces so it would show the exact url. I also inserted spaces in my post above showing you how an image properties looks when it's an attachment.
