Just wondering if any of you have taken advantage of any of the freebies that Vista Print is always offering. They send a lot of emails on MyPoints and I always think they look like good deals but I don't know.

I've gotten several "freebies" from them and have always been happy with my purchase. (The shipping is not free.) I have gotten return address labels, a stamper, and business cards from them. You get to design it all yourself so you have many options.

Hi,
I got my business cards (the first ones) when I had my website, and was very pleased with them, except the only difference between the so-called freebie ones (you do pay shipping) and the ones you actually do pay for, are designs and quality of paper, but mostly, there's no Vista Print Advertising on the back of your business card! In my opinion, for starting out - they're a great deal.

Yes! It's a really good deal. That is where I get mine. My vet also uses them, and my neighbor didn't believe how great they were until he came over here and ordered them from my computer. When they arrived in less than a week he couldn't believe it! :)

Yep, Toby,
Same with me as I had the website and was really debating about it, then said to myself that the cost of shipping wasn't enough to worry about and I got them quickly and opened the box, and OMG, they looked NICE. ;)

i am running a single-man campaign to spread the news about vista print. DO NOT use their services. you might get cheap crap but in return they sell your information. they sell your phone number... been getting any sales calls? yep, it's them. they also sell your private email information to spammers who will spam you sometimes 30 times a day. i am now in the process of googling everything about vista and replying whenever i can just to get the word out. truthfully, i am an honest guy and i have no reason to lie about their services and what they are doing to their customers.

I suppose like everything else it is "Buyer Beware". I researched your complaint and found the following... but - remember you can opt out when ordering. I'm not coming down on one side or the other. Many companies are not based in the US, and will sell your information. Do not flame me!

To address vistascam, whom I doubt will be back anyway seeing as it looks like he joined in order to complain about VistaPrint....truthfully, I don't care who sells my information anymore. My address is listed...it would be easy to pull from anywhere. I don't answer my home phone, it goes to an answering machine. If somebody wants to send me mail, I'll be happy to recycle it for them (and hey, maybe that created jobs in some way). With the email thing, you're going to get spammed anyway. It's just as easy as pressing delete, delete, delete.
I used to work for a catalog company and people would call just irate and freaking out that we sent them a catalog. How did you get this address??? Ummm, ma'am, we bought it. I'll be happy to take you off the list if you don't want a catalog. I never had a problem helping them out, but screaming at me??? Gosh, I wish I had that kind of time to get irate over getting a catalog in the mail! I usually just look through them to see if there's anything I need or like, and then recycle them.
As far as VistaPrint goes, I have ordered the cards before and I'm really considering ordering some of their cute photo desk calendars. They are about $4 each and you get to put 13 pictures...one on the cover and one on each month. I've only seen the expensive calendars where you can put one photo on and then tear off the months as you go. I love all of the design options, and I think they're very affordable.

Yes, I'm ready to order again from them without any trepidation. I like how they operate - quick and easy. :)

i will come back and post again and say i am just warning what has happened to myself and others who have been unfortunate enough to deal with them. listen, i got nothing for free. i bought what they were selling. maybe that's part of my problem. you have been warned though, they will solicit you non-stop. i do get upset if someone does sell my information, especially when it is my cell phone and it rings constantly from the same set of numbers and i'm on the do not disturb register. think they're a legit company then ok, good for you. there are other cheap print shops that will give you better service, won't sell your personal information, and actually deliver a decent result. maybe you should call and talk to their customer service agents. that should be fun.

Simple solution, if you do not want advertising and solicitation calls on your cell phone, then do not give out your cell phone number when you order or sign up for something online. 99% of the companies out there will solicit you for further business and sell their customer lists, everyone should know that when ordering anything or signing up for a freebie.
Since my name, address, and phone number are all publicly listed, anyone who wants it can find it anyway and I do not worry about it. I keep a primary email and my cell phone private and do not use them anywhere since I do not want them sold and made public.
As to your cell phone, you can also change the settings on almost all phones to only acccept calls from those in your current phone book, so if you are having such severe problems, then just take your own action to fix it.
And as was already stated above, you can always opt out, you just have to take the necessart steps to do it, so instead of complaining all the time on various websites, go fix your problem!!
As to the Vista freebies, yes, several years ago, I got their address labels and was very happy considering I only had to pay a small shipping amount. I haven't used them again, since we are renters and the amount they send is just not practical to think I will use them all before relocating, so I will save future offers and take advantage of something again when we buy a home of our own.
From signing up for various freebies, I get tons of free address labels that are awesome and very pretty, so I have quite a stock anyway.

why yes, how could i have not thought about that? of course it's so simple, don't give out my cell phone number. now let's say that it is my only contact number and required for placing said order, what would i do then? i'm sure there is a great answer in it that someone has for me. or as you mention i could choose to make my cell phone only accept calls from people i know. boy, that makes even more sense! that means that i wouldn't get any annoying calls from new clients, my family who has unlisted or restricted numbers, or anything crazy like delivery services or any other random number. i would like to sign up two very very very special people for the vistascam mailing list for life. have a nice one by the way. who knew that cheapness would outweigh common sense. my time here is done. may you get a million address labels attached to your foreheads.
