I actually work from home now, after a long while of searching and almost giving up because of how many scams there are...
I was directed to the Good Morning America site; apparently they regularly do a report on how to work from home without getting scammed or having to pay anything. I searched their site (with search words like "work at/from home") and got a few videos with some really good, completely legit ideas! Check it out!
