If the economy goes sour I think it would be very difficult for a republican to win because they would be fenced in with Iraq on the international side & the economy on the domestic front. You would think that from a strategic standpoint the republicans would at least like to bring back a token gesture of troops, and then go with the playbook of god, guns, gays (the 3 g's), throw in some flag waving(patriotism), and a dash of family values-although that might be tough with most of the crop of candidates. Obama is the only one on the democratic side that can beat Clinton IMO.
