Oh, and Bonnieb, when I wanted my son to look down while I cut the back of his hair, I would have him stand up, then put a treat on a plate of the floor (or a picture of something interesting) for him to look at. It worked!
Also, Bonnieb, I've learned a LOT about coloring my hair at home (through a number of minor disasters). We should have a thread about that! |
Hi Whitequeen,
The first time I ever colored my hair at home, I used Clairol nice & Easy, and rather than getting blonde, it turned out red. (My hair had previously been highlighted blonde, but I am naturally medium brown.) I called their helpline to see what color I needed to purchase to get the job done, and was informed that they had no color strong enough to give me the results I wanted, for a light blonde. So I used L'Oreal Les Blondissimes for a while,----that worked awesome! But after several months, the super-light blonde shade was just too much work to keep up, so I "downgraded" to a L'oreal natural blonde shade, and it looks fine. I think the hardest part is finding a shade to stick with that works for you.
