Re: Hubby needs prayers now

Hubby got to leave hospital at 6:30PM Tuesday & they still do not have Pathology results yet! BUT, primary care Dr. told him today that "you & your Bladder must part".

So good news is the Aneurysm does not make the Tumor "inoperable".

Bad news is that even tho' Pathology results are not back,...they've decided to remove entire Bladder 'cuz Tumor is in the wall - more than likely it "is" Bladder Cancer like Urologist who found it first mentioned that in his professional opinion that's what he thought it was. Oncologist said same thing to us as well. Hubby will probably have a "bag" to drain urine for rest of his life.

More bad news - is Bladder Cancer has a 50% chance of coming back. With Chemo after surgery it has 35% chance of coming back! He's 57 & I'm only 44 & honestly I admit that I am kinda' scared at all of this !!

Urologist appt. at 5:00PM should explain in detail about surgery etc....., so I'll update after that.

The nurse that agreed about his allergic reaction to an antibiotic told him he should get a Flu Shot so I asked his nurse. She asked if he wanted a Pneumonia Shot too & hubby pointed to me & said it's up to her.

Of course I said yes, since between surgery & possibly Chemo they can't hurt. Plus if the healthcare paperwork is approved they may be paid for since they were given in the hospital.

The Anastegiologist & Urologist Surgeons fee's & his office visit will definitely not be covered & the less we have to pay for out of pocket the better!
