We also have to keep in mind, this IS a show. Even these auditions, are in a large part angled toward the viewers, not only the people auditioning. Are they rude? Of course...that's part of what American Idol has been for the past 5-6 years. Are they more rude than before, not necessarily. Should Simon try to cut back on the personal insults/attacks, sure...they're not needed for the show.
You sound like a rhinosaraus, fine. You look like a rhinosaraus, not so fine.
And they definitely show too much of the bad singers. I think that, based on previous seasons, they think that is what the public wants. And in some cases, that is what they wanted. But, I think it has gotten a little 'old' seeing it season after season. There are plenty of people that make it through--or close to it--look at Hollywood's weeks, they are packed with people. You see the people at the end of the show that made it through, yet many of their auditions were not shown. Why not show us every "ticketed" person's audition and through in some of the outlandish ones as well? Give the people that deserved it their 15 seconds of fame and give the public a taste of what is to come and even began rooting for the favorites.
I saw one girl, although I didn't catch her name

that I think will make it very far. And several people that were good or really good, but only one that I said there's definitely a possible finalist!
