It's definitely not "reality TV," but in my opinion,
Friday Night Lights is one of the best shows on television! The characterization is dead-on, and the acting is impeccable. Even if you're not a football fan (and I am), I think you'd get caught up in the drama of "win at all costs" vs. "do what's right." The external and internal pressure on the coach seems totally realistic (considering that this is Texas, where football is a matter of life or death!
), and I really admire the way he and his family handle it. Definitely worth watching, especially if they show the whole thing again in reruns....
