Now, as to the regular or internet division of the BBB, don't expect them to do anything to help you, either. The BBB is not really a consumer protection program at all. The only thing a company has to do to be listed with them, and be able to display their little logo is pay a membership fee. There are no business ethics or morality requirements.

Since these businesses pay a fee to be listed and you don't, whose side do you think they are going to be on? All the company in question has to do is say we suspended or froze their account for violation of our TOS and the matter is settled according to the BBB. The company can even lie, I have had it happen to my husband and I personally, but since they are the ones paying the membership fee, and you aren't, they will take the businesses word for it, and you are out in the cold.

I have even had a complaint that I refused to sign as settled, but if you look at the company on their site, you will see them listed with 1 complaint, filed from my husband and I, and the BBB said it was unfounded and lists the matter as settled to the advantage of all parties!
