We have that from 9pm - 9am, and all weekend long. I signed up for it - peak usage. I also pay the exact same amount every month so I'm not surprised in the summer. I dry all my clothes outside, I partly dry towels in the dryer then hang them out to dry (mostly use the dryer for lint removal). I hang my quilts out to dry. I dry rags in the dryer. One thing that did help a super lot with my a/c usage is getting solar sunscreens on all the windows. My ceiling fans run all year long except in the winter months. Last month (and it was extremely hot all month long) my actual usage was $67.13 not including taxes and surcharges, etc. That isn't bad at all considering how hot it was. Normal winter use is about $35.00. I pay $105 all year 'round to make up for the monsoon season when I will be using the a/c almost 24/7.
