| Re: Tips on Grocery Shopping Saving
I will read the article later (just about ready to go out grocery shopping!)
My personal tips:
Start a local coupon trading club amongst friends, neighbors, classmates, coworkers! The coupons that they throw out might be something you need! (and vice versa).
Match coupons against sale items from store flyers. Some stores will price-match against competitors (I believe WalMart in particular does that) which can save on gas. Also find out which stores will take competitors' coupons - and sign up for any and all homemailers for additional savings!
Carpool to the store whenever possible to save on gas money (here in CT it's just under $2.50 a gallon!). When visiting a store out of town make sure it's worth the trip - again, carpool!
Always be prepared, take your coupons with you to the store. Many stores have unadvertised specials, especially ongoing ones for a few weeks at a time.
Use a coupon binder or box to sort and store your coupons.
I know of a website with a coupon decoder, but as it is a competitive deal site, it's probably not wise to post it here. You can pm me or email me for the website if you'd like!
