Martha Stewart is not a nice woman. When I worked for a local bookstore chain in NC, we had her at a book signing. Out of all the authors that we ever had across the state, she stood out as the one most rude to the employees. Thank you for sharing that! It's easy to dismiss "Hollywood gossip" - like the movie they made about her - but when someone familiar (i.e., a fellow DOD'er) has had a personal experience that backs up what others say, it's much more compelling. Sorry to hear it's true, though! I always hold out hope that these folks aren't as bad as the press and/or Hollywood makes them out to be...
