Their highly touted $5 sale was a farce, most items were out of stock even when confirmed by customer service. Or orders were canceled even when still showing the items on the site. Or you were charged a higher price when you checked your order status. Deferred Billing is a rip-off. Their definition of deferred billing is to lock the amount on your credit card until the month you choose for "Deferred Billing". Translation - they bill your credit card immediately. I confirmed this with customer service. After having all of the above happen on all my orders I will never shop Newport News again!
BTW - someone on FW posted that they spoke with a CSR who said that all orders would be revisited and adjusted to reflect the "correct" amount, as the $5 sale was a "mistake." |
