A magazine article about a lady that got a cart full of purchases at a fraction of cost started me researching local grocery stores. She advised:
-forget about brand loyalty
-forget about store loyalty
-research your local stores & know their specials / double coupon days
-learn store policies about multiple coupon applications, because there are:
A. store / store circular coupons
B. manufacturer coupons
C. valupage coupons (those coupons the machine at the check-out spits out)
It seems this lady learned how to apply multiple coupons onto some purchases, and while it was work to get a system set-up, and time needs to be spent pouring over all the sales flyers, it pays off.
