I completely understand about the capri problem! I'm 5'4" with an average length torso and have always had a hard time with those too
... until I discovered "clam diggers"! They are the shortest type of capri-type pants I've seen, and they're nearly perfect for me, because they end up the right length for regular capri's!
I found one pair at Wal-Mart this past summer, and another pair at Lane Bryant, so surely other department stores carry them as well... I hope this helps ya, because I plan on getting more use out of mine now that the weather's cooling off some!
