The Holidays are coming soon- Just Fall weather food, company food, fun food. MMMMmmmmMmmmmmm

I thought it would be so fun if we all submit a recipe (or more!) of our favorite holiday food. Sometimes I think I cook the same things over and over, it would be fun to bake some tried and true recipes.

Now I am a simple gal, so don't laugh at my recipe-hehe

Apple Crisp (ohh yeah baby)

5 cups of peeled sliced apples
bunch of cinnamon
some sugar
1/2 cup of oats
1/3 cup of butter (more or less)
1/4 cup of flour
1/2 cup of brown sugar
then some more brown sugar

You really should use real butter (has anyone heard of the studies out now saying real is better than margarine?wahhhooo!)


Ok, dump the apples into a small baking dish (or double recipe for regular pan)

I sprinkle tons of cinnamon on top, a little white sugar, and a little brown sugar.

In a seperate bowl put all the rest of the ingrediants. I also dump a ton of cinnamon into that bowl. Mix with a knife- you don't want it to turn into a paste, rather be crumbly. Dump topping on top of apples. Bake at 375 for 30-35 minutes.
