Ok...I have to say something in 4erika's defense..first, I don't think she was trying to say she didn't know he hubby well enough to buy him a gift. I have known my husband for almost 17 years {more than half of my total life already} and I still find it difficult to buy him gifts..ok, he's a big sports fan, but you can only do the t-shirts, sweat shirts etc..so much. I would hope someone here could tell a unique gift they've given that went over well. Maybe there's a sports item I HAVEN'T seen or bought already. There's no harm in asking, for goodness sake, if we can ask family and friends suggestions for our childrens names, I would think this was a pretty harmless question.
4erika, I hope you come up with some very special gifts, including the ones that can be opened in front of the rest of the family.
My hubby and I plan to treat ourselves to a night alone around Christmas time. We'll of course do the little gift giving on Christmas, we are always so worn out with the activities that surround this time, that we plan on doing this as part of our gifts to eachother. We don't like to go hog wild on gifts to eachother for the simple fact that we have MANY people we have to buy for. This way we both get what we really want if only for a night- PEACE and RELAXATION!!!! I think next year I will manage to get us away for an entire weekend
