I keep my Christmas ornaments in tins too. Like Naomi said, after Christmas they're dirt cheap & you can usually find them with Christmas motifs. I just use bubble wrap in between the layers - my ornaments are mostly all wooden ones & odd ball shaped things like cats, penguins, airplanes, etc. but I'm sure that it would also work well with just about any of the ornaments out there. I have 4 tins now - two with ornaments, one with lights & one with beads, etc.

The tins stack up nicely & because they have tight fitting lids, it's not a disaster if they fall off the shelf. Before we had a mess of funny sized boxes for everything and it was just a disaster waiting to happen when we went to get everything out.
