My Mother and I made my flowers for my wedding. We went to Frank's (a craft store) and bought the kits to make the silk flowers (not really out of silk). It was cheaper then, but it may be cheaper nowadays to buy them already made. We have a store called The Dollar Zone, and it has really nice fake flowers (not plastic) for about half of what Walmart charges. If you have any flea markets close, you might try them also. There's usually at least one booth that has flowers cheap, but pretty nice.
We didn't do it, but I've seen some people get the spray glue, and after making the bouquets, they lightly spray with glue, then sprinkle clear glitter over it. It makes it so pretty in the light. Just a thought...good luck with them!!!!
