Deb, I LOVE my rotisserie! Before I got this, I would just laugh at the infomercial, but I use it all summer long because it doesn't heat up the house & I don't have to wait around for the grill to get ready either.
Mine also came with a basket so I can do burgers on it as well as chicken parts, veggies. And, the spits are great for sausages & brats as well as ribs. The only thing I really don't use is the tray on the top - it's just too little for me (I need to feed 4 hungry people, so we eat a whole lot more veggies than would fit in the tray) but it is good if you want to steam the buns for the sausages & brats.
I've also slapped one of those cheap hams on it, brushed it with a pineapple glaze & it came out wonderfully.
If you're really interested in getting one, check out Amazon & see if they have any of the refurbished units left. That's where I got mine & there was not a single thing wrong with it - looked just like new!
