God is so good! He has seen to it that my kids will no longer have to be put in the postion of being around drinking and cussing. My ex-husband has decided he wants to terminate his parental rights. The papers are being drawn up even as I speak. My hubby has agreed to adopt them!
My hubby has wanted to do this for a long time. However, my ex would never agree to it. My ex has never kept his visitation anyway but it was just a way for him to have a hold on me. Now....after 2 years he has FINALLY decided enough. He called and asked my hubby if he still wants the kids because he doesn't want them anymore. He said he doesn't want to pay the child support anymore and something has came up so he can't deal with all of this anymore. Of course my hubby jumped at the chance and called our attorney. The paper should be ready soon for all to sign. Of course he has 60-90 days to change his mind so please pray that my ex will not change his mind and that he will leave the kids alone during this time. My 7 yr old is thrilled to death that she is being adopted by Bill and that she can FINALLY change her name! lol We are afraid that my ex will try and pull something slick at the last minute but we pray that won't happen. This is the smartest thing he has done in a long time. We also need prayers that our store will grow and pick up. We will be losing $700 a month in child support coming in once the adoption is final so we really need the business to pick up. But we know in the end that God will take care of us. If it weren't for him we know that this would not be possible.
