| aaaw, sorry blue. I have problems with too much acid build up too. When I was really sick in March, here are a few things that helped me with controlling it. I was on prilosec, and I take it for when I really need it now...Watch things like coffee, or things with caffiene period, watch orange juice..acid...tomatoes, etc. They will have a tendancy to flair your tummy up. Same with alcohol..as scooter mentioned. Don't lie down after eating for at least a couple of hours...and no food 2-3 hours before bedtime. Now I did these things as well as found my way back to eating better foods..I to this day can't eat pork n beans(baked beans) and I have to watch salads...broccali, well, I stay away from that. But keep eating healthy...and somtimes light exercise helps. My girlfriend said that apple juice helped her feel better, where I found milk helped me.
And it could be just the change in your eating habits that set it off...have they tested you for the bacteria in the stomach that often causes this??? It's called H-pylori? Sometimes if that's the cause, then they can give you antibiotics...and it will go away. It's a simple blood test...I went thru all those tests in June, just to find out it's just too much acid production in my stomach.
