I think more people are used to eating chickens. chickens are raised to be egg layers or be dinner
I think the wild pig incident got to people becuase they went out and hunted it and killed it. the chickens are in a little coop meant to be eaten. I am sure a vegetarian wouldnt like either option but non-veggies can accept the chickens being killed. also i dont remember then showing the chickens being killed on the last survivor?? they really showed that pig though. If they hadnt been so graphic about it i dont thing there would have been such an upheaval.
karen - who eats venison that a neighbors friend kills but wouldnt want to see it being killed.
