Anybody can have thier own opinion about what to eat... If you dont do cardio workouts or lift weights or swim you will gain weight... You can burn fat, but the more you consume the harder you have to work... As far as having a high fat or carb diet, just do what works for you... But were talking the outer appearance... My only concern is what goes inside... The cholesterol and saturated fat...
